Summer Photography Scavenger Hunt
This year I'm taking part in Rinda's Summer Photography Scavenger Hunt, so far I've found these 2 items.
(11. An animal in a zoo, aquarium or nature reserve etc) A mother and her ducklings taken from the pond at Wirral Country Park
Hoping to capture some more over the next couple of weekends when we're out and about!

Photography Scavenger Hunt
The 1st June signals the start of Rhina's annual Summertime Photography Hunt. I participated last year and loved it so I'm planning on taking part again this year.
I thought I'd make a good start yesterday as we were going into the City Centre to watch the Manchester Day Parade, but didn't take my list with me so off for a hunt to see how many I've managed to cross off.
Are you taking part?

An amazing day
At the beginning of May we took a trip to Harrogate on the way to Newcastle with the kids for a couple of days away. We happened upon a sign at the side of the road, mentioning Emsley farm shop and as it was time for lunch, I thought it would be a good place to stop. When we pulled into the car park we were greated by some fenced off pens with chickens, peacocks and hens and some rabbits. After lunch we found out that it was in fact a farm trail, which was Free. Very unusual in this day and age. You could pay for food however, to hand feed the animals and actually go into the pen with the giant rabbits.
Later we found pens with goats and a donkey that you could also hand feed and a pig who needed to be feed in his trough. The goats were especially friendly especially the older ones, who fought to get closest to you as soon as you approached the pen.
It is definitely somewhere I'd go again if we're in the area.

Hello to losing 1st
I got my 1st award yesterday at Slimming World by losing 4 1/2lbs. I was so happy to have got it especially as I've never lost that amount even in the first week. It took 9 weeks to lose, I wonder how long the next stone will take?

February Month in Numbers
Another month has passed us by in a flash, I don't know about you but as I get older the years seem to pass by quicker!
To help me remember the important (and not so important) details of the month I take part in A month of Numbers, an idea from Julie over at Notes on paper.
The month started well with our monthly visit to Young Families Together @ Didsbury Community Church, the messy crafts event started with a family tree filled with 100's of handprints from all the attendees including our 3 in the top right of the photo!
1 car service resulted in the purchase of a used Citroen C4!
We celebrated my youngest sister's 21st Birthday with a chinese meal and cake!
My husband and I had 3 child free nights at home whilst our boys stayed at their grandparents over half term, would have been even better if my step-daughter had stayed at her mum's as well
7 1/2 pounds lost this month through following the Slimming World Plan, meaning I achieved my 1/2 stone award and am 1 pound away from my 1 stone award!
2 phone calls talking to student registration and 30 minutes spent doing a diagnostic test for the OU! I'm considering studying for a BSc Health and Social Care but down the Healthcare/Health Sciences route! If you've got any experience of studying as a mature student or as an OU student I'd love to hear your opinions and advice!
2 pairs of earrings made with my own fair hands at our monthly craft club!
