Shimelle's starting point 24th May

I loved the bright colours Shimelle used this week and decided to try and stick to a bright colour pallete. I also followed along with a speed scrap in JessicaSprague.com and managed to complete this page
The photos are of Callum playing with a digger and dumper that he received from his Nanna & Grandad for his 3rd Birthday! I created a hinged piece of cardstock so I could include another photo under the bottom one.

November 4x6 Photo Love

Shimelle's had this class running all year and November was the penulitimate month where we were using 11 photos on one layout.
I'd been trying to think of a way of including all the photos from my sons 2nd birthday party into layouts and this was perfect for using a selection of them all playing on the soft play equipment! I've had these bright coloured paper for ages and decided as there were mixed colours on the photo, it would go nicely with them.

I'm loving the Thickers I've used, they are a lovely size and you get loads of a sheet although I'm now going to have to be inventive with titles as I've used all the a's, e's and s's!
I'm going to use this technique again for his birthday meal and cake photos as I loved it so much!

Did you take part this month or do you have any tips for including lots of photos on one layout?

Pretty Paper Party! Prompt 1

This challenge was to use scraps!
Inspired by Shimelle's Right Now page I decided to do a page about me right now just before my birthday!
I had the ideal photo in mind and here's my page!
papers: K&co Wild raspebery, Studio Calico classic calico dot one and Fancy Pants off to school cards
Thickers by American crafts, leaves, brads and label from stash!

I managed to use papers from K&Co, Studio Calico and Fancy Pants, I love how easily it came together in the end! I also took some advice from Handmade Hannah and spent 5 minutes picking stash during the day and placing it in a 12x12 griplock bag so when I sat down to create it was altogether ready!

Do you have any tips to share to make the scrapping even quicker!

Pretty Paper Party! Ice Breaker

Shimelle asked us what sort of paper person are you!

I would definatly count myself primarily as a paper collector but I also fit into the scrap sorter!
Until recently I would have called myself a collection packer but I've found that I don't always use every sheet so I've been buying more individual papers!
Here is a photo of my paper storage, not everything is kept here (christmas and specific themed paper such as wedding are stored elsewhere!

I've also taken a picture of some of my favourite go to papers, as you can see there are not many as I've recently been using these as the backgrounds to layouts. It's definatly at supply I'll be buying more of!
What papers do you go to time and time again. I'd love to know!

Team Crop Night and Shimelle's SOTW

Last Friday we had our monthly team crop night over on Uks hosted by jo.bee!
She challenged us to use Shimelle's sketch of the week but with a twist that we must use old paper so here's my layout!

She also posted another challenge to use a 10 minute layout posted on Creating Keepsakes website!
Here's my interpretation!
Thanks Jo for setting the challenge!

Starting Point - 8th October

Last Saturday Shimelle posted this as her starting point and my immediate thought was fireworks. I've never used 2 different patterned black and white papers before.

I then looked at this weeks challenge on uks and found that I could use that with this paper placement as a starting point and came up with this!

Another photo scrapped for Connor's album, I'm really pleased with how it came together in the end!
The journaling breifly talks about how this lady has become known as Aunty ...... even though she's one of my best friends mum's as she's always been there for me and spoils the boys when she see's them!

I'd love to see what you came up with!
