B for S 2

Today's prompt was about public v private, at the moment this blog is public and i always careful about what i write, Shimelle has shown us how to keep certain posts private and i may use that feature in the future

Today I choose a topic that i'm keen to scrapbook which is my Childhood, having a baby now makes it even more important as i want him to grow up knowing the differences in his mummy and daddy's childhood to his own.

My Dad was in the Army from the age of 15, so from the moment i was born i was always brought up in the army way of life, the almost constant moving and the worry of my dad being sent abroad( fortunatly for me he never was sent anywhere far away for long). Alot of my friends ask me now if i minded all the moving and i always answer that i loved experiencing it all, I think it has made me the person i am today, very adaptable, polite, honest, trustworthy and friendly. I got to experience so many wonderful places although never anywhere exotic, but i didn't mind, 1 thing i am thankful for was that i was always with my parents, some people i know were sent to boarding schools but my parents felt it was better for us to move with them and for that I thank them.
The place I remember the most is living in Northern Ireland, I loved it their, we were so close to the beach and the mountains and the main house i lived in during the 4 years there, i could see the beach and mountains from my window, what a magical place to live, I'm lucky that i've managed to return twice now in my adult years and i've also taken Clive and Katie with me. Hopefully in a few years we'll be able to go back with Callum and show him all of my old memories.
I have lots of other memories of exciting things that happened during my formative years but i'll save them for another day.

If you've made it to the end of this post, Thanks for dropping by.
